Arabic 100 – Level 1
Beginners – Novice – Low
This class will cover the Alif Baa’.
Elementary Arabic is an intensive course designed to teach students the basics of the Arabic language and culture. Topics include the Arabic script, essential grammar, and foundational skills in writing, reading, and conversation.
Course Prerequisites
No prior knowledge of Arabic is required.
Arabic 101 – Level 2
Intermediate Low – Mid
This Arabic class will cover the first five lessons from الكتاب في تعلّم العربية – الجزء الأول.
This course will aim to bring students to the Intermediate Low-Mid level of proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic in speaking, listening, reading, writing, and culture. In addition, it trains students to continue their linguistic development in sentence structure and verb forms. Students will handle a number of uncomplicated communicative tasks by creating the language in social situations. Students will derive meaning based on contextual clues from texts of considerable length.

Arabic 102 – Level 3
Intermediate Mid – High
In this course students will continue covering Lessons 6-10 from Al-Kitaab book. This course aims to bring students to the Intermediate Mid – High level of proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic in speaking, listening, reading, writing and culture. In addition, it trains students to continue their linguistic development in language in sentence structure and verb forms. Students will handle a number of uncomplicated communicative tasks by creating the language in social situations. Students will derive meaning based on contextual clues from texts of considerable length. They will also understand information from connected sentence length speech on a variety of social topics.

Arabic Youth – Level 1
Course specially for middle and high school students
This course is designed for youth who have no prior knowledge of Arabic. The course starts by introducing the Arabic writing system and script. Then it progresses to introduce daily life situations that students encounter at school. Through this course, students learn to communicate in Arabic quite well with their peers at this age group. By the end of this course, students should be able to communicate with a native speaker on a number of basic everyday life situations that teens are faced with. They will also gain a basic understanding of the fundamental structures of Modern Standard Arabic.

No prior knowledge of Arabic is required.
Arabic Youth – Level 2
Course specially for middle and high school students
This course is for students who have studied the equivalent of one year of Arabic at high school. It revolves around daily life situations that high school students in the Middle East encounter. At the end of the course, students will be able to communicate with native speakers on a number of everyday life situations that include ordering food, talking about the daily routine, asking for and giving directions, shopping, and asking for the price. They will have some understanding of the basic structures of Modern Standard Arabic.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Adult Levels 1 and 2 will be conducted on Mondays and Wednesdays

    • Adult Level 3 Classes will be conducted on Saturday Mornings

    • Youth Classes will be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays

  • From prior experience, children have difficulty adjusting to online learning sessions and it becomes a burden to the parents to keep them attentive. For that reason, Star+ Learning will consider offering Children’s learning at a future date.

  • Student performance is evaluated based on the following components:

    • Online Activities: 40%

    • Writing Assignments: 20%

    • Tests: 40%

    Each area plays a key role in assessing progress and overall achievement in the course.
